the scary part is not physical.

20 and 40 are the two ages hardest to deal with. 20 because your not a teenager anymore and 40 because mid-life crisis is setting in.
Just groovin' to my own tune.

Call me when you hit 64! Still, better than the alternative, I guess.

Actually, 25 was toughest for me. Not sure why - maybe the 1/4 of a century thing. The rest have kind of come and gone. BTW - the tire store has a nifty machine for that job.

I could still see ok at 40, but now that I'm 50 I need reading glasses to work on stuff. That's my major complaint. The tiredness and aches and pains I can deal with, by just being even lazier.

I'm over 40 and still indestructible, until proven otherwise.
I do get sore but that's because I'm overweight and out of shape, which is getting fixed. gotta fight this every step of the way!

I'm 2 months from 40 and what is bumming me out is the increase in recovery time.
It used to be if pulled/bruised/strained a muscle or worked myself to the point of heat exhaustion, I could just stop, take the rest of the day off and get back to it the next day. Not any freaking more....
A couple of weeks ago, I overheated myself, not even to the point of heat exhaustion, and it took me 5 freaking days to get back to normal! I don't have that kind of time to waste on recovery.....

I still feel that muscle I pulled in January. It's not chronic now, but it lets itself be known if I work hard

I'm way over 40 and still feel indestructible although I'm sure at some point I'll be proven wrong on that but that's pretty much the way I've lived my life. The one key element here is to never let yourself slow down or start to take it easy because condition wise it'll take you forever to get back to where you want to be and the older you get the tougher it is, been there & done that!
