  • Fishing In Pro Stock

    competition plus
If you correctly guessed the Pro Stock class, you are correct from what we hear floating around the pits. Multiple sources have confirmed the NHRA's tech department tore down all 15 Pro Stock qualifiers at the NHRA Northwest Nationals once they were eliminated from the event. As of this posting, there has been no official statement as to whether any infractions were discovered or what precipitated the extensive inspections which included removing a cylinder head.

They don't use blue bottles, just schrader valves in the tubeing and solonoids that look like line locks.

WHICH IS WHY THERE IS NO MORE AIR SHIFTERS haha
nascar teams used to soak k&n air filters in nitro oil for qualifying

I've heard of some super stockers adding nitro to their oil and getting .05.
I've seen some of the techs with their hand right on an illegal part and not know a thing. So who knows what they were looking for.
Maybe they were just comparing cars to see which ones are different. A few years ago they let us control the air that controls the fuel regulator with a programable box instead of numatic timers. The reason was they couldn't tell who was doing it and who wasn't, and figured most were doing it anyway.

Maybe they are putting nitrous lines in the water jackets and sealing them in with hard blok then edm-ing tiny holes in the cylinder walls way down in the bore.....

Can you say Mopar!!!!! The Wayne County Break in Joke and they Put the Olds symbles on the walls. Who the heck breaks in and hits Blocks and not plastic cars? I used to go to Indy most every year till we left in the middle of the event when the Dodge Cars blew the hood scoop off twice and they tore WJ down to the ground that night, it helps when yo Pay for 2 NHRA Events I geuss. A freind of mine is a Tech Director who says "I do what I am told"

Gliddens son not Bob used it to show Bob while he was layed up "What everyone else was doing", Bob rolled over on his son with the Probe had it in the battery whent up the ground cable to the hood scoop support tube drilled to fog the engine inside the scoop.

At Englishtown Rampy backed out of the lights because he knew they where waiting at the end of the track, if you will look the rules where amended in National Dragster before the next race to include no Nitrous in all the Classes.

It's actually kind of nice to hear all the "hiding" of NOS. Means they are all still wanting to win, and competitive as heck.
