    The Craigslist SERIOUSLY?! Thread

This is where you post ads from CL that are so out of whack price-wise you just have to ask, "SERIOUSLY?!

That which you manifest is before you.

      Engine bay's 99% rust free

On cardomain.com a few years back, there was this kid who pulled a 70 something Satellite out of a ravine and wanted to get the original 318 running so it would still hold it's value with the numbers matching engine. I tried to tell him that it wouldn't have any effect on the value and it wasn't worth trying to get that engine running, but I think it was the hole rusted in the side of the block that finally made up his mind.

maybe that is supposed to be 500.

not like that area to be that silly.

I have never found maine to be asking much..too many reasons not to. then when it is something built outrageous enough to be alive.. not many get what they want.

ingredients of a dead car truck world.

I did find a 454 suburban with some special fairings..
guy wants an eco car as possible trade.
that is about how that is around here.

Brian , thats not bad pricing, yes it's a rat, but if you've delt with CL buyers you know they r.p.i.t.a...
if he listed it for the 2500.oo it might get, he'd get calls asking "will you take 700 cash and my 83 yugo"
and sadly if you list it to cheap. no one calls..
had a 700r4 listed for 75 bucks no calls, relisted it at 175.oo sold two..
my 454ho listed it at 3500.oo nada, relisted at 5600.oo 4 guys fighting for it..
even the chevelles, if the guy answered the first listing he would've got them cheaper..
I'm sure the lister knows it's overpriced, but to get people to look, then dicker to your real selling point..
how many guys if it was listed at 1700.00 or 2100.00 would pass right by it , it must be a rot box..

I've seen that Mustang ad a few times. Here's another one that doesn't seem SO ridiculous now but he started at over $6k a few months ago:

1967 Chevelle 300 2 Door Post. No factory options. 250 ci inline six with lump-ported head, big valves, Offy intake and 500cfm Edelbrock carb.

Next to posting the CL-link one should also copy the text in quotes in your reply because in about a month all the CL-links posted here won't work anymore so the thread gets dated pretty fast.

Check out the CHRR galleries and you'll see a 1925 Willys Knight limo that was supposedly owned by a movie studio. It currently looks worse the Beverly Hillbillies' family sedan. Asking price was written in marker on the fender. $1,200,000.

I'll be putting Mom's old '87 Celebrity 4 cyl. 4 door auto up for sale following Maxton. I'm thinking $47, 354. Sound about right? Hey, it has a race history.......
