The big TV contracts are in Texas. ESPN set them up their own channel... for the whole damn state.
I think all the Texas colleges should just form a Texas Conference and leave the rest of us alone.
They always want to run everything. Pissed off the Big 12 as soon as they joined.

The Big 12's TV contract does not share the money equally with all of the schools in the conference. The University of Texas gets the biggest share. This is the main reason why Nebraska and Colorado left last year.

ESPN launched The Texas Network to broadcast UT athletics. This doesn't include the other Texas schools in the Big 12. This is why Texas A&M is going to the SEC in 2012.

Hmm, seems like WVU going to the Big 12 is not as a sure thing as some thought. Seems like Loisville is in the mix now. Politicians are also involved. Sheesh!
