just in time for the anti tour kickoff, interior goodness!

Since the po was intent on only drag racing this car it came to me with aluminum panels on the doors which are hot and noisy. My 12 yo son, who is finally beginning to show some gearhead inclinations, remarked sunday "I prefer the upholstered interior parts with armrest, Dad". I had to agree, but first I needed to figure out what to do with the terrible eggshell painted surfaces on the doors. A trip to my neighbors at Fantasy MOtorsports got some cool carbon-look vinyll applied to the doors and the checkered glovebox no one liked. then some repro doorpanels and armrests from Dearborn Classics finished the doors off nicely. I am super pleased with the outcome and happy no one bought it thus far. I like the carbon vinyl so much I may do the entire lower dash eventually

original appearance as I got the car from po note the ugly painted surfaces top and bottom

    new door panels and wrap

Did you do the carbon stuff your self?

            Looks fantastic!

No I had the kid over at Fantasy Motorsports do it-he is wrapping entire new BMWS every week so I figured rather than me ruining 3 times the amount of vinyl I would need, I could just have him do it once.

Were you and McGann able to hook up?

Why do I sound like a matchmaker all of a sudden?

We did not, unfortunately-he appeared busy with T shirts and stuff, and I had to get to work so I left by 9
