NASCAR the automotive version of pro wrestling. It has everything, funny clothes, drama, soap opera antics, and its loved by rednecks and watched by a few normal people too.

If you listen closely at the in car audio, you hear Kyle's crew chief telling him to back off and calm down. Kyle's last words as he was crashing Ron into the wall was " It's all good".
        VERY POOR SPORTSMANSHIP.

he didn't write that letter, his puplisist did..
the crew told him back off back off.. and he still wrecked the guy and basicly laughed about it by his reply, it's all good..
he needs help.. if he pulls this at daytona he's gonna kill some one.. he's pulled this crap at lest 3 times this year (rcr truck, rcr car and last rcr/harvick truck) the year before he did the same crap. most notable was when he wrecked jr..
he's had enough chances.. he's toxic.. he needs anger management help. and to grow the f up..

Kyle Busch made his point Friday night.

NASCAR made its point Saturday morning. But a larger point remains to be made.

Busch, as talented and knuckleheaded of a driver as you'll find in NASCAR garages, was suspended from races Saturday and today at Texas Motor Speedway for his unexplainable actions in Friday night's WinStar World Casino 350k truck race.

Busch intentionally crashed Ron Hornaday Jr., sending Hornaday into the wall at the beginning of a caution period only 15 laps into the race.

It is rare for NASCAR to issue penalties that extend across its series, yet NASCAR president Mike Helton sent a strong message to Busch in a Saturday morning meeting in which he informed Busch that he was done for the weekend.

Now another strong message needs to be sent to Busch, who is still young -- he's 26 -- but hasn't showed himself to be impressionable.

That message could come from NASCAR on Monday morning when it considers further disciplinary actions, but NASCAR already has made a severe move with its suspension.

The next strong message should come from Busch's employer, Joe Gibbs Racing.

Busch shouldn't drive for JGR for what little remains of the rest of the 2011 season. And ever again if that doesn't prompt an attitude change with Busch.

In announcing the suspension, Helton referenced the "have at it, boys" attitude NASCAR has passed along to its drivers. "We'll know it when we see it" has been Helton's answer to what would qualify as having at it too much.

Friday night, Helton saw it. We all saw it. But not just for one incident in one race -- for Busch's career.

Busch is a coach/manager/owner/general manager's ultimate sleep-wrecker: an athlete too talented to cut loose, yet too much of a problem-causer to keep around.

It was a stand-up yet obviously chagrined Joe Gibbs, co-owner of JGR with his son J.D., who had to answer questions about Busch on Saturday.

Busch was not driving for JGR on Friday night, but he does on the Sprint Cup and Nationwide series. So it was JGR dealing with the consequences of Busch's actions, including having to replace its driver for the Nationwide and Cup races.

Gibbs said mid-morning that he was early in the process of meeting with people affected by the Busch-created wreck, including other drivers and race teams plus sponsors.

He said it was too early to determine if Busch would face further penalties from his team but that JGR would "try and handle everything in the right way."

Let's hope that after all the other drivers and team officials and sponsors have been appeased that Gibbs will do whatever it takes to save Busch's career.

Even if that means taking away the keys to his JGR cars from Busch.

On driving ability alone, Busch has much to offer NASCAR. But his antics must be stopped.

Just in the past year, Busch has had a physical confrontation with fellow driver Kevin Harvick and another with team owner Richard Childress, made a televised obscene gesture to a NASCAR official and been ticketed away from the track for driving 128 mph in a 45-mph zone.

Something -- some one, perhaps? -- must force Busch to think outside of his own driver's seat for a change.

Hornaday is a four-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion who makes his living on that circuit. His chances at a fifth points championship likely ended when Busch decided to retaliate because Hornaday had made contact with him and Busch brushed the wall, prompting the caution.

Busch, himself, is in the Chase for the Cup points championship on the Sprint Cup series. In seventh place and 57 points behind leader Carl Edwards with three races remaining, you could put Busch's chances of winning the championship at less than 5 percent.

But when you're at home while Michael McDowell is driving your car in the AAA Texas 500, your chances drop to zero percent.

Good luck putting a percentage on the chances that NASCAR's weekend suspension will be the event that finally gets Busch's attention.

It should be. We knew that when we saw it.

But ultimately, it's going to take Busch seeing that. Fine him, suspend him or fire him -- and it may require all three -- he is the only person who can separate the talented driver from the knuckleheaded one.

The 1st post says all that needs to be said. He is a DOUCHE(almost rhymes with his last name). It's truely a shame, he probably has more natural talent than 99% of the field. He just has a personality problem, his brother has about the same problem. I understand that when his dad drove, he was the same way-just on a much lower racing competition level. Must run in the family. I have been around racing since the 50's. There have been some d!ckheads, but never like this one.

The anouncers on todays race insinuated that kyle might not be in the 18 car next race...they asked Mcdowell and he played dumb, said he had no idea if he was gonna be drivin' it.... maybe NASCAR won't let him get away with it.....:|

anybody wanna put cash on it? what would be the odds?

Not that this is really possible, but the best thing to do would have been to put Hornaday in the 18 for the Cup race. That would have been an event worth celebrating.

I don't think anyone blackening his eyes or bruising his ribs would be the life changing eye opener he needs. His ego and his self centeredness may need something more powerful to get him to accept that he needs to change some really deep rooted aspects of himself... stuff that isn't easy to change.

Here are some thoughts that his employers should consider: Is Busch more or less likely to kill someone than Mayfield was? Is he more or less of a safety concern on the track?

He may not have a drug problem, but he has shown that he doesn't handle the stresses of racing in a safe manner... If nascar is as concerned with safety as they claim, they should pull his racing license.
When you look at it that way, the decision is a simple one. Simple and easy, however, are not synonymous.
