  • Back From Surgery

Due no doubt to the excellent BS support I'm back home from the Surgical Pavilion. I'm on the tail end of the surgery meds + oxycodone so I'm not responsible for anything I type or do - mostly snoozing.

All supposedly went well but I'm all taped together so how the heck could I tell? Mary Ellen got up WAY before breakfast and took me to the scene of the crime - she's the BEST! No one should have to get up at that hour. King can't figure out WHAT'S wrong with the Dad Guy but Dad certainly doesn't smell right.

VERY uncomfortable right now but the catheter comes out tomorrow and that'll be a big improvement, I'm sure. With all the drugs in me nothing else hurts - evidently Oxy doesn't quite get to that part.

And seriously folks - thanks for all your kind thoughts, positive energy, and prayers. Now all I have to do is WAIT.

    Dan

Gail - Can she drop in from time to time? The concern now is the potential for infection but the surgery folks were very careful, I thought. Of course, I was out cold for much of it so who knows WHAT happend when I was in LaLa Land?

Glad to hear all is well Dan! I'm not a fan of sugary either but when you have the right doc, no problem. Had 2 hernia surgeries myself. Any way, take it easy and rest.
