Did anyone notice that really awesome tech article in HR magazine? I'm surprised Speed hasn't proclaimed its goodness. "How to camouflage an LS motor".... boy, we needed that tech....

I was joking with a friend very recently that the cheapest way to make my Buick go faster would be to make a casting mold that makes Buick 455-shaped shells. Than I could put it around an LS motor... and now my dreams have become a reality.

maybe next month they'll have an article about how to make a set of tennis balls look like real balls so that those who feel the need to camouflage a LS motors don't have to grow a pair, rather can have a pair of prosthetic ones.

You have to camouflage (who knew camouflage had a "u" in it? huh.) them because they are becoming the new 'lowest common denominator' engine. If you didn't they would all look the same...... ugly.
Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

That is an ugly and soul-less looking motor for sure. I was wondering how to make a set of vertical valve covers and make one look like Nailhead.

But a REAL mistake. David mistakenly said that the new ECTA track would be in Wilmington, NC instead of Wilmington, OH. Don't I wish!

why is everybody hung up on the ugly part, with new cars "having to have"engine covers,, why would ya spend money on the looks if it's covered..
but to make an ls look like another engine.. lame
but I'm sure there is a market for it, with all the ford guys runing the ls..

I don't mind the coil covers that are made out of aluminum that make it look simular to a big block chebby.

THE TRUCK LS HAS A HELL OF INTAKE WHISTLE WITH THE COVER OFF ..but unlike the ford , it has plenty of power and keeps the plugs screwed in
