Hadn't been in for a good while. Forgot my password. Finally got all that sorted out and back on.

Nothin' too crazy goin on in my world. Just workin' and paying bills. Sold my old GMC pickup last month and got a new (to me) truck last week that I've been plain' with since then. Deer hunt a couple of weeks ago; came back with nothin' but some empty beer cans. Overall, pretty darn boring.

Boring isn't among my descriptive words. "Nuts" maybe....... I know for a fact that if you've been off the forum for more than a day or two you just have to pick up where it is now - there's no catching up.

no deer.. bumming. Kinda the same ol running around here. What kind of truck did ya get? Boring is almost good some times. Dan is looking kinda nutty, or looking for a nut, or I can't really tell cuz he won't spill it.

The new forum software has some features, and some pitfalls. Hard to tell what is going on sometimes. Meh, all good I suppose. Pics of the truck?

I've noticed some changes to the forum. Haven't been around enough to figure anything out yet.

The truck I got is a 2009 Silverado Z71 crew cab. I stepped up a little in truck from the extended cab, 4.8 to this crew cab 5.3. So far, so good. It's getting as good or better fuel mileage as the old truck. No complaints so far.

I haven't taken time to take pics of it yet. Partly because there was a few things I wanted to get done on it first. It had some black pipe step bars on it that I didn't like, so I took them off. I also had to get the windows tinted. I guess I can take some pics of it now. Still have a few things I'd like to do to it, but I need to get Christmas stuff going first rather than spend more money on the truck.

Too bad. I saw two on Mulholland Dr this morning.

We saw deer every day. But our tags were for bucks (must have at least one forked antler). We saw two fork-horns that ran before we got a shot off, one spike that wasn't legal to shoot, and about 50,000 doe. I'm pretty sure if we would have had doe tags, we would have seen bucks everywhere.......

Ron there is a "New Posts" link in the red bar just under the forum tab that will give you a list of threads that have updates since your last visit.

The old forum's post since last read was pretty accurate, where the "new posts" here uses a cookie or something and there could be 400 posts you haven't seen but it thinks you have. In a phrase, it kinda sucks. Always something to work on... the good news is video and picture posting, one of the hugest pains on the old board, is comparitively easy on this one.

the other boooo thing is nesting quotes - you can use the "+ icon on the right side to add quotes, but it won't nest them in their original context if there is a quote within a quote. Major hassle... and we love quoting quotes here. lol.

There was a hell of a lot of work done to make us happier, but all forum software has something goofy to it as far as I can see. Something about Kate and Edith? Anyway, we all appreciate all of the hard work that goes into keeping this b*ch afloat!
