Nascar couldnt ask for a better finish. Tony and Carl going for the win and the Cup.

Huge kudos should go to Tony for overcoming issues that kept knocking him to the back of the field. He passed a total of 76 cars today.

It was refreshing to see a throwback driver like Stewart win the title with a win in the race. Wins matter!

I would say it was the crew chief a big part of it...50% most likely.

the story about being told he was out of a job at the end of the season... kicked himself.

              crew chiefs need more mention.

First time since 92 (Kulwicki) that an owner / driver has won the championship ... well done Tony!

As that is a great feat now. But, Kulwicki had far less support than Stuart Haas gets now.

Funny you mention that, Scott. Tony Stewart said the same thing during his post race interview. The sport lost a great man when Alan Kulwicki passed away.
