A couple years back, at the NMCA race in Bowling Green, I got to witness Ron Gorz Nostagia Pro Street Mustang jettison the rear end in a similar fashion when he clicked the shifter into high gear. The car slid about 250 feet after losing the rear end and, amazingly, didn't hit either wall.
Some crazy stuff happens on the dragstrip, that is for sure!
