If it hadn't been for the Crusher not being track "READY" I'd have never met Chad and DF......my trailer was fab central to finish at NHRA Heritage Series@ Fontana to have it's coming out party back in the CJTV days.....BTW...Chad was getting it done....DF was getting in the way....LOLOriginally posted by Scott Liggett View PostFreiburger's build times on cars always seem to be procrastinated into all nighters leading up to the day it's supposed to be done. Then goes past that deadline. The Bee going to Vegas, the Buick revival which they missed mother's day, during CJTV The Crusher Camaro supposedly going to CHRR (Poor Chad was there at 3 am with an oil geyser.. DF's famous pic of him sleeping in the aisle at the parts store.), F Bomb cruising to Famoso and racing. All have been great story telling, but also all failed in some way. At this point, I'm beginning to think he does it on purpose for the drama, which would mean he's more Hollywood than he'll admit. Or, .....um..... what's that word for someone who keeps doing the same thing expecting a different outcome? The Beatings will continue until MORALE IMPROVES !!!!Comment

Not to mention that acceptable magazine fodder needs to cater to what will generate sales, at least to some extent. 55 Chevy's generate sales right along with Camaro's.Originally posted by BOOOGHAR View PostI read a post on the HR FB page bout them getting the 55, the person typed - PHR has Project X, what is HR going to call this ? Project WHY ?
The 55 does look pretty sweet though.....
I wonder how long it takes before the 55 kisses the Raunchero in the ass...
There must be more than one ice race in Alaska..... Now that their truckster is getting sorted out, they should be ready for a different race in a few months.Comment

Something tells me that if the car is actually ready for the trip, then there's not much point in going...Originally posted by andy30thz View Post

Call me nuts, but I disagree. It would have been cool as shit to see those guys get there and race the thing. Give me some great photos form the road, deal with some minor stuff, and complete the trip.
Probably doesn't need to be said out loud, but DF is obviously a guy I respect a lot for various reasons. This trip was an homage to Ak Miller and Ray Brock taking a Ranchero to the first Baja 1000 and winning their class. Do you think Ak and Ray did their prep work in a week? Hell no. The man's schedule is a nightmare and maybe this was the only time frame they had. I like that they are making something out of the trip, but Alaska would have been the shit.
Fetching Brutus was one of the most fun things I have ever done. Wouldn't have ever had the balls to do it if it weren't for following that guy's adventures. I hope like hell they actually do get to Alaska.

Yea HR and DF could plan stuff better, but I'm sure there are other influences that don't allow perfect timing. He has however inspired me to get my junk out and drive and have fun with it even if it's not perfect or the weather isn't perfect.Whiskey for my men ... and beer for their horses!Comment

HRM now has a full time fab guy/ wrench. So, I don't why this had to be such a last minute thrash.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

I totally agree with you 100%. I would love to see them make the trip and was disappointed when they abandoned the trip. I also like Dave's stuff and have a lot of respect for it. My point (a little tongue-in-cheek I might add) was that they seem to thrive on the drama of a pushing-the-limits, last minute thrash to complete a seemingly impossible road trip. It just seems like its the same situation every time. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, as it draws the audience in even more. Heck, I've actually considered signing up for a Facebook account so that I can follow their progress more (and you have no idea how much I hate Facebook). They also inspire me to get my junk out and drive it too. I need to fix the busted trans in my truck so I can take off on some lunatic road trip too...Originally posted by Brian Lohnes View PostCall me nuts, but I disagree.
