One of our shop cars is a 1978 cutlass cruiser, the olds version of the malibu wagon. It is a 532ci. Oldsmobile Big Block stroker we are playing with. There isn't a stock displacement car in our fleet any more! lol.

hahaha all my friends started out with everything stock and they always were "numbers this and numbers that" but when they got to ride around the block in my car sideways it became more of "how much horsepower i can squeeze out of this.."
now i dont walk the other way when i see them at shows and auctions ;D

There is a little story behind this wagon....


The owner didn't think 4-doors were legal for use in NMCA competition, so he welded the rear doors shut (look closely and you can see where the window frame for the rear door still mates up with the pillar) and painted it gold. The car modification was nicely executed and it is a blast to watch that car run.

I had so much fun in that car. It would run 13.80's in pure street trim-with a 2.56 gear. I don't know how fast it would go, but I got into it with a buddy of mine in his '90 Vette late one night and he gave up at 130mph. I still had a fender on him, and it was still pulling strong.
