Man, I am out of touch. Was reading something about the 1994 accord being a top stolen car, and then I was looking at the article discussing plate scanning setups on the newer cruisers.
    Crazy stuff...interesting video though.

Seriously, this really is starting to feel like 1984.

Believe it or not, the plate readers have been out for several years. The ones we had back in about '06 weren't that compact though.

I think England has the 1984 vibe nailed. I think just about every square inch of their major cities are under video watch.

how would it do on an angle, like cop car in median and someone flying by at 160?

          that would be a conquering.

Been problems though- the readers can read what state it is, so some problems have been found if a car in NC has the same/similar plate as one from SC thats been reported stolen.

Also read somewhere they cant read the ones that have flat lettering, such as the vanity plates in NY.

Bruab, we embrace it here, too. Spy on your neighbor with a cell phone and PAY for the privilige! Turn em in for money! Sounds like ... 1945... uh, I'll shut up. This will go political uber fast.

Ever see parking wars? They have plate readers to nail people with outstanding tickets.
