that is very sad. I seem to do that for one car come oil time.
I recently remember paying over 100 for a lifetime billet filter about a year ago.

I just bartered a clutch down to $280...for an 87 subaru. little 90hp engine.
I thought the whole car was abit steep for $500 just 5 years ago.
I am over 3000 now, was close the last i checked the pile of reciepts.

if it were not for the rarity..I would be sad, but let it go most likely.

assume it priceless, most of us lose anyway.

I go to the same auto parts store for everything and have for the last 15 years. You just have to keep going to the guys that know what they are doing, get to know them, they get to know you.

I have a bit of an advantage in that I worked at two of the larger new car dealers in the area over the years and always gave them the parts business, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. They still remember that even though I don't work in a dealer anymore. Brake clean? still $1.99 a can for me! Seriously though, that loyalty paid off and they take care of me.

That's funny! What's even funnier is when I get on the freeway and see another Crown Vic and they see me we play tag for a mile or so (kind of like dogs siffing each other's butts) until we figure out that the other one's not a cop.
Just groovin' to my own tune.
