  • Favorite concession stand?

Which racetrack has your favorite concession stand and why?

    Mine?

    Cordova.

Why? Pork chop sammiches and bigass cinnamon rolls!

It's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Haven't found a badass brick&morter track stand that I can't live without. I prefer the traveling vendors at the bigger events, like the Pronto Pup stand (hand dipped and deep fried corn dogs) and the Nitro BBQ for some Pork Nachos. Both could be found in Memphis, TN at the old MMP.
    GM G-bodies, because I can't afford a 69 Camaro.

Around here (Pomona) the food SUCKS and it's way over priced. At one stand a ten dollar tri tip sandwich looks like the equivelant to 3 small slices of bacon on a burger bun. At another, you can't tell the difference between a tri tip sandwich and a pulled pork, because they douse both of them in so much BBQ sauce...the sauce is all you taste

My Hibachi .... brats, burgers n dogs. Momma usually makes a mean pasta salad n we usually finish it off with a store bought pie or cake.

Race track food .... better keep an outhouse close by, not to mention the cost of the outhouse session!
Whiskey for my men ... and beer for their horses!

In the 70's, the founder of In n Out Burger owned 1/2 of Irwindale Dragstrip. So, he had what was to be In n Out burgers at that concession stand

It's pretty damn hard to smuggle in enough beer for the day, let alone keep it cold. Beer has to be COLD. That's why I prefer propofol at these events

A couple places at Famoso had edible food. Firebird Raceway had great french fries.

X2. The brats and burgers I cook on my Weber on the tailgate of my truck are 10x better that the greaseball food they serve at the Atlanta Dragway and cheaper, too.

Still a few good Big Smokie spots in the fairgrounds. Good stuff.
