  • A date for Scott?

I am pretty sure you will be limo~ing some enormously famous person to the Golden Globes on Sunday...
We are airing the Globes on NBC and had some extra tickets to the Red Carpet arrival area, my friend Teresa won a pair of tickets and might be looking for an escort...

I'll be in the parking garage across from the Beverly Hilton with the rest of the black car drivers. Really exciting? I'm not driving anyone famous this time. Just Clooney's producing partner.

Hey, if your friend is HAWT, I will CHANGE my name to Scott...
Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

I don't think Scott's back has anything to do with it.

The red carpet area is pretty cool and nearly a block long. As long as it's not raining. What's neat is that you get to see stars from both TV and movies. They are much more relaxed because the show is in a ballroom, they will be eating and drinking during the show. Also, they get up and mingle during the commercial breaks, unlike all the other shows.

If your friend will be in the bleachers to see the arrivals. I went by there tonight and the bleachers are on top of the garage, about 10 feet higher than the drop off area, so she'll be looking down over the cars. Easier to see the people get out of the cars.

Are you going to be interviewing on the red carpet; or some other work?

I don't understand why people get so amped up about seeing those people while sitting in bleachers. Oh there's whoever the #### and what's her name. Jerry springer material right there. Also don't get why people watch that genre of shows, ie springer, judge judy...

People always seem to want to see celebs in person. The tourist industry in LA is practically based on it. There are dozens of 15 pass. vans with the roofs cut off running around town to see the Stars Homes. We limo drivers call it the Wall and Shrub Tour. That's all your gonna see of any big time celeb's house. BORING!! I don't know what these people expect to see. Tom Cruise won't be out mowing his lawn when you drive by. Madonna ain't going to playing with the kids in front yard. Amber Heard won't be sunbathing in the nude. (I wish she would)

I'm still trying to figure out the fascination with celebrities, would I want to meet or talk to a celebrity, sure if they're interested in buying a Bus but that'd be the only reason!

Back in the 80's I worked for a packaging machine company that did business with Miller in Azusa and a few other companies in the area. On one of my first trips I went to Beverly Hills. Nothing like I expected. Like driving through neighborhoods here in NJ.
