I finally found out what a Hagerty policy won't cover

They asked me if I was injured when my Buick slid into the retaining wall at my shop... I said "my ego" they said "I'm sorry, we don't cover that."

The nitrous thing is real and they don't tell you about it when you send in your pictures of the engine and trunk. I of course don't have nitrous, don't know what it is.

I'd go with AAA classic car insurance anyways. My buddy Bob Beck works in that dept. AAA has been great with my normal car insurance. They are a non-profit and my rates have only gone down with them.

Well I can probably tell you about Hagerty better than most. I totaled my 56 olds back on july first. They were NOTHING but professional to deal with. I would insure my house , daily drivers, garage, snowmobiles, my trailers and the wife and I if they offered it.
They have been great, and help my wife through a very difficult time. She had to handle everything and still work and take care of her mom. They Made sure everything was understood and called her just to make sure she was doing OK.

13 days in a trauma ward, and on a ventilator for 3 days and over 70 specialist visits , and not working in 6 months. And having them for my Insurance Co is the only thing that I dont regret about that night.

Well, now that it has some "character" I could reconsider. Does it still leak oil or did you remove that automatic-ziebarting option already?

not only is it damaged, but it still leaks oil AND as a bonus it leaks water above the driver onto his (or her) lap.... it's actually a quite well-designed feature because it hits dead center of the driver's anatomy.
