Big Buick Aluminum Engine Porn

Jim Weise, the owner of the V8Buick.com board and major Buick engine builder started a thread on a 555" E-85 drag race engine. Lots of shiny parts

Looks nice! Are you going to put a big Aluminum Buick in yours?
Why think when you can be doing something fruitful?

I'm too cheap :*( I think I'd build a 472/500 Caddy with a turbo first.

hmmm, no Buick 350 with turbo first?
I'm still in the planning stages for a 300 all aluminum turbo build... problem is, what would I put a light, 1000 hp motor into?

I seriously considered taking my dad up on his offer to let me have a 62 Buick skylark - but no - I'm still not over my old one... plus, I have enough builds going that I'll be busy until the next Mayan apocalypse...

I have no desire to build a Buick 350 or V6, but I do want to build a Cadillac 472/500, but have no desire to own a car that came with one.

Randall, you do realize that is not an insurmountable obstacle, right?

I already have one engine ready to go together in my basement, I don't need a second one!
Latest suggestion is to build an ark around the engine and flood the basement to get it out,

I know where a 500 is lurking.... came out of a Studebaker truck
I figure someday I'll come up with the right project for it.... but for now it sits and waits.
