  • Introducing my latest project

So I've been busting hump, and making the poor Fiat feel like some abandoned Italian (mama mia!) because I need to go pick up this in Montana... I gave up, it'll be delivered in the next couple weeks.

Plans? well, I have this twin turbo motor 464 that needs a home.

    or
    Maybe a full-tube 25.3 frame

    or maybe like this:
This car, I fell in love with several years ago; but it's chevy powered
    it's even for sale ($72,000)

Here's another idea for the car but with slicks

OooLala! Now that one has some LINES to it!

I had a brief fling with a '59 Electra, alas, her curves couldn't hold a candle to your new Buick. Must be rough to be shamed by a older woman.....

Reminds me of a Cadillac Sedanette.

You sure you have room for all of these? What do the owls think?

That front bumper is pretty nice.
Are you going to take the drive train out of your GTO?

I PM'd you the seller's contact information - if he doesn't I may know of at least a couple others (however, all on the west coast - so that may be too far)... nice thing about this seller is he delivers for a reasonable amount.

Actually, I do - the Spider is a firewall, plumbing, wiring, and paint from completion.

Excellent find! I keep thinking that there HAS to be a salvage yard like that around here but so far no luck in finding it. We have pretty good sheet metal in our local yard but nothing very old.

                            Thread, please.........

A thread will start when it actually gets here....

Then it'll sit for quite awhile, I need to collect parts and money to do the build. I kind of have an end goal in mind with it; and if I rush it, I'll have to do lots of bits over again - I could build a frame for it pretty quickly, but as this is supposed to be a straight line car, I want to build it to 25.3 specs.... of course, I've never done one before - so it'll take time to learn than do.

My goal - and I'll say it outloud so grief can occur if I don't make it - is to run the car in the 2013 drag week. That means it needs to be driveable by January.... and the fiat needs to be done first.... and I really should stop typing and get off my lazy tush
