  • I'm just GLAD!

My nephew Isaac just came home from his 3rd tour of Afghanistan in one piece, and I'd just like to publicly THANK GOD!

He will get a little time to decompress, and then will be training the next bunch of Seabees until September.
Then he will come back, buy a home for his family, and head to college.
He wants to be a game warden.

So, anyway - like the title says - I'M JUST GLAD!

    great news indeed.

I have lots of friends and co-workers in harms way in one capcity or another, hving them come home is always relief.

Nice to see he got out of there unharmed, it says a lot about the people that were their to protect him and the other people he was stationed with........My friend was working over there with Special Forces and said his camp would get mortared every day, he said the good thing was they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn..........He told me about how the Taliban hired a Chechnyan Sniper that caused the military to change their uniforms, apparently our guys would wear black t-shirts under their button up camou shirts which would create a black triangle at the top of their shirts and that is where the Sniper was placing the bullets, the black triangle was the bullseye........According to him that sniper got over 200 of our guys, but he screwed up one day and we had a navy special forces guy out in the fields, you know one of those guys the can sneak into a camp undetected, and he saw where the sniper was firing from and called in an air strike on his position and they never heard from the guy again.........Yap crazy place that Afghanistan place is from what I hear...........
