Ancient proverb isn't 100% factual. In my younger stupider days I only got caught once. Let me say this though it is Not worth the risk of life and limb for the desperado , the lawman , or the innocents in the flight path . In the state of Indiana as of something like 8 years ago you are held accountable for all losses in the persuit of you. So if a cop miss judges his skill level and dies you will be charged for it. As well you should.
