  • The next truck ....

So for those that have been keeping track, the last truck I struck a deal on (F250) had a hinky title so I bailed ...

Another week of searches netted this:

92 K3500 Silverado, with get this, 88K! Yes .... 88K! Fully loaded, 4X4, Spray in bed liner, 5th wheel hitch plus receiver and a big block. It has the typical 1992 paint peeling problem but the interior is mint. The only drawback is that it is missing the stereo.

    We landed on $3700 ....

It's way-mo-betta than the F250 ...... and like you said, the big plus is the dually.

Yeah, I've got an '87 heavy duty 3/4 ton with the 454/tbi.....220,000 miles and still running strong. You got a good truck there.

Nice score. Takes up a bunch of real estate, but invaluable when you need it!
                  Escaped on a technicality.

Just parted out the exact same truck, but with single rear wheels. The body had minor rust, but the front sections of the framerails were completely gone. The front suspension was ready to fall out because the crossmember was rusted away from the frame, and the front bumper fell off because the rails were gone. Never seen a frame rusted that bad. Truck only had 86K on the clock. The 454, 4l80, manual transfer case, and 14bolt rear are now in a '98 Tahoe with a Dana 44 solid front axle. Hopefully yours doesn't have the same rust bug.

Four tire burnouts with ease. Those were turned into ground scrapers 'round here.
