  • So the red BS phone with one button on it rang tonight and...

I reported to find this. A "barn find" 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang. Original from nose to tail. Factory installed dual quad 428. Sat in Death Valley for 20+ years before being found and brought back here to Massachusetts by a junkyard owner with an epic Ford collection. He's having the motor gone through and that's it. He is not touching the outside of the car. I have 50 + photos of it to run tomorrow. Here's a couple to get you Ford boys lathered up. Yes, it has the correct Shelby plate ID on it. The car is legit.

I also had my best right hand man with me (Sorry Dave Nutting, you're #2!). Yes, he has an iPod, and yes, I am actually going to use a couple of his photos in the blog item tomorrow. This makes me proud.

For? To get from point A to point B. Economically of course. Duh.

Yes, I'm a CarJunkie... How many times would YOU rebuild the same engine before getting a crate motor?

Plus when they go on the road together he eats AND drinks less - therefore per diem savings - Win.

I'm looking forward to this blog story. Cool to hear the owner isn't going to restore this jem, they're only O.G. once!

And how cool was it that Tom was your intern on the shoot! Yes, kids with IPOD touches do grab bitchin' pic's about 1 out of 10.
