  • What is wrong in this picture?

    Location: Dragoon Trail,Mishawaka Indiana.

Looks like someone had their head up their arse! Every other hydrant down the road is BEHIND the guard rail!
    WTF?

There's lots of Amish and Menonite folks in that area of IN - maybe it's left there so they can water thier horses on a hot day?
There's always something new to learn.

It's a set up for a bad 70's cop tv show. You know, the one's where the chase scene ends with the bad guys running over a fire hydrant.
Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

The racoons like to open it up at night and leave a nice ice patch on the road.

          Two possibilities -
          1) There's a steep drop-off behind it and maybe the trenching crew couldn't cut the trench further away from the roadbed.
          2) The crew who erected the guardrail didn't read the print right, the road is in the wrong place, and/or the surveyor blew it.

Either way, I'm seeing a wet accident scene here.

When you hit a fire hydrant they just snap off and go flying down the road, it's not going to stop a car dead in it's tracks......But it is going to F'up the front of your car.......But then if your driving off the road and one the rail you probably got worse problems than hitting a fire hydrant......
