if you want to see what the "new" race car will look like, just look at the 2013 Ford Fusion race car. unless NASCAR has changed it's rules recently, all the bodys are the same.
so is NASCAR going back to the old ways, were each manufacture has it's own body?
the past couple of years, you couldn't tell what manufacturer they were, without the names painted on.
i wonder how aerodynamic that nose is going to be on the charger?

The noses are different but the bodies are identical from the cowl back. Hey, it is a small step in the right direction!
the windshield is laid back more and the trunk has a lot less overhang. The sides will all be different also with whatever styling cues the MFG's are doing. NASCAR has been working on this for about 18 mo's now. They say they have done extensive wind tunnel testing and are not seeing allot of differences between models despite the different bodies. They claim that wheelbase is a game changer when it comes to handling ... so look for all the cars to be the same wheelbase, but they will all look allot different from each other. NASCAR.com has a story on this and is quite interesting.....I like the idea. at least its a step in the right direction.
But that "caprice" is a PONTIAC in my book and it oughta be called G8!
