    • Andy...a torturously long time! It wasn't the RPM that was freaking me out when making the pulls it was how long the damn thing was working. It was blowing all sorts of crap out of the tail pipes, too.

BBC time line is probably in Aug/Sept. Working on a couple of things and will post details when I can.

Jim...that would be fun but man, utterly pointless!

        How so??
Went from 4.56 to 3.90 in one car.. Track went from mud to asphalt.. Also went from one broken axle in 25 years to 2 in one year... Back into mud too.. Makes me think... Less likely to break an axle with deeper gears...
        What y'all think?

        • with deeper gears, you can put more torque on the axles. However you also will get wheelspin more easily. My guess is it depends on how you drive.

I see the differences in the derby pit.. Those who run stock ratios tend to have blurry back tires while deep geared ones just fly..
You would think with the faster wheel spin, the car would move faster.. But it is the deeper geared cars that fly faster and hit harder

            • Some action in the slalom and braking department.

Pulling it apart and putting new stuff on ASAP!

Do you really think it would help? After all, it's not like it's a cool car underneath all that grease, grime, and donut crumbs.

Heard from a little birdy that you could find these videos useful today:

                        Removal:

                        Install:

As I told you earlier, remember to film it just in case it goes wrong!

                            • Big hammer and a block of wood is my absolute favorite tool. You guys probably have no idea how many times I've resorted to that while working on my cars.
                              Escaped on a technicality.
