    • NICE! I'm curious to see how detonation sensitive this thing gets with higher compression and limited quench.
How high are you raising the compression? 10:1? 58cc chambers?

      • Andy, chambers in the heads I'm putting on are 56cc. Heads are Trick Flow Super 23s with 175 cc runners using one of their street burner intake manifolds (dual plane air gap style). The runners are small but as this thing will never be a big RPM screamer with the stock bottom end, the small chambers and bumped compression should help. 10:1 is about where it will end up.

We'll dyno and drag race it with the carb and then....we're going NUKE!

            • Clearly this stuff won't work on this planet. Even aluminum won't defy gravity and the components are clinging to the wall (at least in the pic on my 'puter). Pretty sure Space Alien alloy parts won't work on an old SBC, especially with this car's law enforcement history.

where does the dynamic compression land?

                            • Picked up 1.2 seconds over the previous best. 14.66/94 was best lap of the day. Not too bad for 4,000lbs with me in it and a lazy 3.08 gear. New components coming next week and gears coming at some point this year, too.

oh and I just saw your new time, 1.2 seconds is HUGE.
