So its been reported that the new HRM says they are going to open up more spots for DW. I don't know as my copy usually arrives a week or so after everyone else gets their's.

No excuses now.

That's not what I read. But, we were credited with being part of the reason all of the spots filled up.

Although Drag Week's* "Knights Templar" and the BS spelling monitor have defamed,cyber-bullied**, and "banned" me from further posts to this thread, I thought it helpful to quote EXACTLY what HRM wrote on pg. 32 of the July 2012 issue:

Due to the overbooking [credited in paragraph 1 to BS and a "yellow" website], we're looking into ways to smooth out and speed up the program so we can allow more cars without having the track days turn into gridlock, and without ruining the low-key nature of Drag Week[*].tm We've started an e-mail-based waiting list that topped 40 requests as of this writing (at the end of March). By the time you read this, there will probably be more news at [some lousy time-wasting website occasionally operated by the "cubicle racers"] about the possible addition of more entries. Of course, it may be sold out again by then. If you were considering registering on site, we recommend watching closely.

Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound like anything other than an invitation to join the waiting list and a shameless plug for Hot Rod's website.
