Welcome to BangShift Trans! From my extensive knowledge of cars and mechanical things, if there's a big thump in the trunk, you might want to open the lid and see what's in there. That advice comes straight from the BangShift Boss.

Auto manual is your best friend if nobody's there to show you how not to do it...

Welcome to the biggest time waster in my day, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Bob, I wonder...if we didn't do this, what would we do? Something constructive, probably...no, never mind. This is all good.

National Parts Depot has a catalog for '67 - '81 Firebird / Trans Am. I get most of my Mustang parts from them, and most of it is very good quality. You can usually get advice on stuff here if you post a question in the Tech section, or if you start a build thread in the Project Car section. Good luck with it.

My advice is to figure out what you want to fix or upgrade, then figure out how to do the repair or upgrade. There are plenty of educational resources between service manual books and the internet. Every journey begins with a single step, and all experts at one time had a wrench in their hand for the first time.
                  Escaped on a technicality.

Well " constructive"... Cleaning grave sites, installing a spool in a 9 inch...
Time waster=rest time=BANGSHIFT! All good... Get to chuckle too!
