  • "Barry" the Street Racer?

Once again the media confuses "drag racing" with illegal street racing . . . this time involving an incident in the youth of the U.S. President:

          Because it's about street racing

Merely because a politician is the subject of a story referencing street racing (erroneously called "drag racing" by the press) doesn't make the story political.

It's simply a human interest story in an area that's of interest to Bangshifters.

I don't think there's a political angle to it. Too many kids ride in cars in illegal street races. It should be of interest when a well-known person apparently self-reports about a youthful indescretion. It's merely a human interest story about a topic of interest to Bangshifters.

Sorry if you found it offensive.

As the story suggests, the President was known as "Barry" when he was a kid -- when the street racing accident occured. Not unusual, considering how many of us have nicknames.
