    Faux-tinaed 2011 Toyota Tundra at B-J .

This supposedly belongs to Clint Bowyer of NASCAR. He does have a bit of a sense of humor. I still don't get this whole fake patina fad and hope it goes away.

    blah

if stuff is so tuff why not get a real 16 gauge old truck.

if 50 years of an oem build still drivable is a "symbol of midwestern strength" life for a hundred years must be fabulous. Alot of nap times. may tag repairman days of summer. banjo on the porch playing badly.

shove the toy back in the box.

Designed in the US and uses 80% American parts. I did not know that.

the thread on the Sherwin-Williams FB page on teh truck turned into a bashing - they are the ones that supplied the paint for the project

I fully support the project - thou I am not fond of the faketina

a lil info on this, Clint Boyer is from Emporia Kansas, pop. 25K roughly, its a old farm town, thats it, farming.

Clint Boyer races for Toyota, I bet he got the truck for free for racing for Team Toyota, he put the build together to be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson to raise funds for a community center in Emporia, he's helping his home town, for a guy to give back to the town he grew up when he could of easily turned his back on them with a case of Hollywooditus forgeting where he came from.

My family from my mothers side if from that area of Kansas so I basically know what its like there and grew up in a farm town in Missouri so for anyone to bash what Clint is doing is unamerican and an asshole

Not bashing what he's doing....just the aesthetics of the way he's doing it. It boggles the mind.

Its great the way most Nascar drivers support charities. What we are talking about is taste-its an individual thing and as far as I am concerned the fautina is tasteless. Your opinion may be different and you are certainly entitled to it.

Drivers get free stuff. It counts as earned income. Donate/raffle/ auction it off for charity, it's deductible. Driver wins, charity wins, and BJ wins.......I love this country!

Not my cup of tea but I hope whoever bought it enjoys it. At first I though it was one of those wrap jobs until I heard Sherwin-Williams was a sponsor.

I'm glad he's doing something for charity and I hope somebody pays (donates) a lot of money for it for a good cause. But its still butt ugly stupid and likely cost a lot to look like something it's not, never was nor could ever be. IMHO

I opened the pictures fully prepared to hate it...and I don't, go figure. Grew up in Oklahoma where all those styling cues he borrowed were as common as bib overalls. It was well executed, and is certainly more appealing to me than those trucks are stock.
