Went down to Amelia Island, FL last week to visit some friends.

They took us to a place call T-Rays.
Old gas station transformed into a restaurant.

Place is packed from breakfast through lunch.

Ate breakfast twice there.........best grits in the South.

this could be the start of something ...... alot of BS'ers traveling around the country looking for good places to eat, maybe we could turn this into some kind of roadside good eating kinda thread, and no im not talking about your local jack in the box 2 for 99 cent taco crap either

I'll be able to do a test and verify later this summer when I'm
in Jackson.
I'm not normally a grits guy.........I was warned not to put butter
and sugar on them.

When we travel we always try to stay out of the
chain places..........hell we can eat at them when we're home.

If youre ever in Sharron Pennsylvania check out the Original Quaker Steak and Lube...same deal, old gas station...super cool place tho, cars on the walls and ceilling. Its a chain now, but the other places cannot compare.

I like the sign you sometimes see that say "Diesel Food". Now I love my Diesel and I love my food but I don't want 'em mixed.

Love to see the chicken fried steak reviews. OK does make some top-notch stuff. If you get in between Clinton and Elk City on the expressway (can't pull up the number) stop at Jeg's Smokehouse. Best jerkey on the planet.

Awesome place! There is one similar to this, but in my opinion, better in Charleston, SC. It is called FUEL and was an old service station from the 50's. It was even featured on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives."

Finally got in to eat here on Friday, it's pretty cool, it will be packed during Dream Cruise.
