  • Anyone near amarillo, TX?

Just checking to see if anyone is near Amarillo, TX. I am working a deal with someone from there for a Nova and wouldn't mind having someone check it for me before I commit to the drive from Wisconsin. Looks like a beautiful roller but I have been disappointed before after a long drive.

Well, the car does not have a title. Not sure how hard it is to get one in Texas, but here in Wisconsin it is a PITA. the guy's name is Bobby and it is craigslist #3192706480 in Amarillo. the car looks really clean, no motor or trans, and is just what I am looking for. Spoke with him several times on the phone and he is willing to deal. BBR, I could call you if you would be willing to help, it's a long drive for me to take on a car sight unseen. Also hope you might have some insight on the title situation.

Just did some checking with the state of WI and the process is just too expensive and time consuming. Basically they assess the vehicle for value and than you have to post 1 1/2 times the value as a bond thru a bond company for a title to be issued. Not including "IF" they let you get that far. BBR, thank you for the help but I think it's just too many hoops to jump thru with the distance and everything else. Sure is a nice nova tho.

I had to pay $100 for a surety bond to get a title for the falcon - all the paper work is submitted - I'm still waiting on the title.
