Thanks guys! We try to hit all the events we can during the year and must have been the right one. The PHR 36 Real World Street machines was a pleasant surprise as the picture was shot at a Good Guys deal over a year ago by Johnny Hunkins and Chris Campbell had called several months ago getting more detail than the info card had on it. I figured I was one amongst hundreds of better cars and didn't get my hopes up.

My buddy Karl showed it to me at the Pomona NMCA deal where the picture Joe Grippo found was taken last weekend. Still got the big ugly hood on it in two tone primer and I hope to have actual paint on it by Drag Week.

Lots of stickers to peel off this weekend as they wanted them on all four sides. 100+ temps were a good warm-up for Drag Week. I need to get them off to reduce weight it rolled over the Pomona scales in full street trim at 4135#.

As Woody Allen once said, "90% of life is just showing up".

The steel bumper will be back on for Drag Week, but with skinny little tubular supports, not the 8# each original supports. Glass version takes 10 weeks to order, oops.

I figured there would be other Bangshifters in that article; are there any out there?

I am on Flickr so on my home page I get updates of uploads from my contacts...Racingnetsource is a contact and that was the photo shown in the update. Very serendipitous, I'd say...
