After searching high and low for my old radio, I gave up. Its here somewhere, I remember where I put it after we moved, but darned if I can find it now. Must have grown legs.
But a co-worker suprised me with a couple of his old cars. Both Tamiya, one a upgraded Grasshopper and the other is the truck version of the Frog. Anyone remember what it was called? Both have radios and both are mechanical speed controlled.
After yesterdays thrash-fest, we now have 2 good running vehicles. His Grasshopper donated the radio to my grasshopper, which also recieved the Electronic Speed Controller that came with the rereleased kit. And the Frog-derived truck got a rebuild and upgrade in the form of a Electronic Speed Controller from my old truck (which oddly enough was NOT missing, even still had the setup directions)
All was good yesterday afternoon.
