  • Seth.....I found your car.

It's here in Mass, but it seems like an AWESOME foundation for a project.

You could probably fly here and (we could...he he) drive this thing home to Michigan....that would be HELLA cool.

Then you could work it into this:

    Brian

That which you manifest is before you.

That looks promising...832 miles from my house...Roadtrips are fun...Gas is expensive...

I will give him a call though to see if it is still for sale.....

I found this one as well...it is a 65'...but still very nice

I was thinking more like this...but without the hood scoop

      Re: Seth.....I found your car.

      Me likey as well....nasty car!

OK..if WE average 15mpg on the way home (with a 305 it's within the realm of reason) you're looking at 55.4 gallons. At 4 bucks a gallon that's a shade over 200 bucks. Not unreasonable.

We leave on a Friday AM and cover 227 miles per day (at MINIMUM) we're home on Sunday.

I'd be glad to cruise out and look at the car this weekend for you, or at least shoot some more detailed photos for you.

The "or best offer" is the key here. The other guy wants 3500 for a non running car. You offer this dude 4k cash in hand and you OWN this thing. We'd have to bolt some plates on it, but I'm telling you NOW that I'll gladly accompany you for this journey..because it would make an AWESOME story for a certain large automotive publication that I do work for.

      Brian

PS....I'm totally pulling a Turk here. Using facts and logic to defeat your good sense. He's very good at that. I like to learn from the best.

          I found this one:

Price is way too steep, sounds like he is emotionally attached. Has some good drivetrain upgrades already. Could be talked down a bit?

Logic... LOL... ahh okay... never been accused of that before... not when it comes to 550 honda's anyway...

Now 20k for a POS with Cancer... that's more then emotionally attached...that's freaking deranged... ( actually I'll bet it's the exact debt he needs to pay off ).... and worst part is... 5 yrs from now he'll have the same debt... and no car... bummer...

Brian.... Keep on Seth... we need a good road trip story...

Hmmm and I have to run out to California here in a few weeks... Hmmm and I have scooters... Hmmm

Keith...I've got the tractor beams on. He's done for.

I used the word "logic" loosely there, but I think you know what I am getting at. There are some things that sound so impossibly dumb on first blush and then take on a whole 'nother look when examined a little deeper.

I think a one way ticket into beantown, free tolls, and half the gas paid for back to Michigan would probably be cheaper than a trucking company.

Plus the sheer awesomeness of the trip in itself....I mean you can't beat this with a stick.

With a weenie 305 in the front of the car I am envisioning "Brian and Seth's Lack of Power Tour"

You've obviously never driven in a 305-powered car
with Seth driving ;D 140+mph to school and back
                    everyday on bumpy Ohio roads...

                      Brian,

I am calling tomorrow and if it is still available, I would appreciate it if you could go take a look and snap some pictures. I love the road trip idea and have been wanting to do one for a while (at least one that doesn't take me to work).

Now I just have to convince the wife to loan me my balls for a few minutes. ;D

                      I have my fingers crossed.

                        Cool!

You still have my phone # from Maxton?

If it works out, I own the tolls and I'll split the gas with ya.

Ya man... lots of road trip pics and an update on this thread when you get back. Gotta love a road trip in a car you have no history with. Should be a blast.
