Convoy Truck

Saw this convoy truck on the parking lot of the motel this evening in Springfield, MO.
I think there's a bunch of these old over the road trucks trekking down Route 66 together.
Didn't see any others.

This rig was sweet!

I got all excited to see an old black Mack with a can on the back and all I see is this coca cola red thing. Ha!

Nice old COE Chevy....the NTHS guys take their historical trucks very seriously.

Everything from the old "bullnose" Petes to chain-drive open-cab Macks....neat stuff. It's a trip seeing them retracing he old mother road...but speaking as a man that does this as his vocation, I'll take the modern interstates over the old 2-lane white-knucklers.

Sure, it's neat to get off the big slab and go sight-seeing here and there...but no way i'd want o battle the 4-wheelers like it is today.
