summer is when we stay indoors, the shows happen in the spring and fall in Arizona

But here's a nice picture from Wisconsin, summer 2004....it's just beautiful in June!

Here's a little slide presentation of some of my friends' Pontiacs up at Gus's Drive Inn in East Troy, WI this past September.

        Gus's Drive Inn

I like going there for the ride (it's about a 100 mile round trip for me), but the cars are pretty cool and the food is good as well.

Here's one. This show takes place the day before Mother's Day in Culver City. These are from the 4th annual George Barris Back to the 50's show that closes down Culver and Washington Blvd.

              62 Impala 409 4 spd

customized 81 Seville. The famous customizer in the background. Forgive his names slips me.

Hot Wheels GTO. Picture doesn't do the paint justice

A fantastic recreation of Max' Interceptor. Even had a AC clutch to turn the blower on and off.

              A few roadsters

Cougar GT-E with major FE power and 4 speed.

This Henry J is a survivor from the insane days of Pro-Street

This Super Bee is an actual magazine cover car just released from it long slumber in a garage. Sound familiar DF?

The token red 69 Camaro. Clean low mileage RS/SS 396 car.

My buddy Mike's 65 Impala SS. Factory 396/ AC car. Just finished a frame off on this car now sporting 20 inchers.

I love this year Satellite. All it needs is Petty's #43 on the roof

Pontiac Catalina with 421 4 speed.

              Customized 50 Merc

              62 Caddy vert

One of the actual movie car Torino's. Still has the camera mounts.

Here are some pictures I took back in August at a show in Williams AZ. It was my first time in Williams and I plan on making it a yearly thing. If you have the chance you should come out for the show.

How bout some pics from Car Craft's Anti-tour 07?

06 was freezing and this year gave us sweltering temps. It was in the mid 90's at 10 am at our kick off party at Global West in San Berdoo. The guys and gals of Global West gave us nice tour and some of the best car show burgers in history.

This 63 Impala SS sports a 409 4 speed and some custom touches. I was unable to ascertain whether or not it was a real 409. I didn't care.

This GTO is the cleanest I've seen in years. He drove it all the way to Vegas Motorspeedway in the heat as well.

This guy and his family brought his 65 Buick Special wagon back again. It's got a 455 and a DVD player for the wife and daughter. I wish my parents would've had DVD in our 64 Buick Special when I was a kid; my sister would've been less annoying.

This is right after we hit the road and are climbing into the desert and heat. That Gremmie is powered by a 401 5 spd. He didn't race because of fears the 6 cyl rear would go boom. You can see see Glad at the front of the line spewing trannie fluid over everyone on I-15.

CC editor Jeff Smith brought his El Camino. He was supposed bring his 65 Olds F-85, but a major oil leak sidelined it this year.

The only difference between this guys 65 Impala SS besides having paint, no rust, nicer wheels, an interior, was he was nice and comfy with his AC on. If I want to stay cool in my car I have to drink slurpies til I get brain freeze then throw a bag of ice in my lap until my nuts get frost bite.

Here we are coming into the strip. That 70 Chevelle SS 396 came in from Arizona for the trip.

We went straight from the freeway into the tech line at LVMS that pushed us straight on the track. Most us did our first runs with our luggage, coolers, and tools in the trunk. At least, that's my excuse for getting beat by a Honda Civic.

That's me just before the ricer hands me my ass. Hey, at least I raced. Smith's Elco was a cargo vehicle for camera gear and Glad spent the night yelling "Stop touching it!!" at everyone, referring to his bloated radiator hose.

Saturday most everyone went looking for the Air Conditioning of the Casinos. Me and my co-pilot/buddy Malkeet helped Goat Racer with his alternator problems then had dinner with guys from Spectre Performance at Hooters.

Later that afternoon, Mal and I snuck onto the NASCAR track in hopes of a few laps in my Impala, but the Andretti/ Gordon School kiddies beat us there. Bastards.

I did get to take some decent pics of my ride at the track.

Glad and Smith decided to beat the heat and traffic by leaving at the crack of dawn. I let Mal drive back so I could tan my other arm. Glad continued spraying the Nevada desert with fluid from his tranny cooler.

Here are us leftovers stopped at In-n-Out Burger for lunch. They were nice enough to buy us a Double/Double animal style.

Great Pictures, Thanks for sharing. I had hoped to make it in my '67 Thunderbird, but I was having Autolite 4300 issues that I didn't want to deal with for 1000 miles round trip with the possibility of not passing tech do to fuel going where it shouldn't (not to mention worse mileage).

I'm not sure I ever saw a good picture of Glad's radiator hose, got one? ;D
                            Escaped on a technicality.

I was too busy enjoying the hilarity in between going down the track. I asked CC editor John McGann if he did, but he didn't think to take pics either. Too bad, one guy kept poking it again and again as if he wanted to be sprayed with boiling hot anti-freeze. Glad was in near panic thinking he was going to be walking back to the hotel that night.
