    I upgraded my shop yesterday.

Won't do much for the acorns raining from the shop ceiling, but will keep the water out of the car.

I had to back and read 4 pages of posts.
          Enjoyed all of it !!!!
I moved here in 2001, started building my shop 2002, (still haven't started to remodel the house), did all the work with help from Rusty Iron Junkie Friends and family, finished 2003-spring 2004.

Nice shop, Captain. Our lot is too small for anything that big. I have a 30 X 40 and DO have a hoist that I couldn't live without at my advanced age.

              Dream shop.
Is anything that is covering you from the weather a wrong answer?
No garage, or shop to speak of. If it rains while doing anything a tarp tied to trees, is as good as it gets.

A real Bridgeport, a South Bend lathe, and all the machinery I now have. Oh and room enough for 1 car left over. The rest will just have to go...

With Keni and I looking for a house to buy, this is definitely on my mind lately. Right now it would need to have a garage at minimum, but with enough space to build a shop, preferably at least 3 bays. I will have a two post lift at some point, my body is not aging gracefully and this is pretty much going to be a requirement before much longer. Fully wired with 220 volt easily accessible around the shop. Functioning bathroom and maybe a shower, to save the house shower from becoming coated in grunge. Drill press. Hydraulic press. Band saw. Sandblasting cabinet. Lathe. Welder and welding table. Tubing bender. Parts washer. Small forge. Vacuum forming table. Oven for various things. Decent stereo. Great internet capability so I can look stuff up without having to go back to the house. Well thought out storage and work areas. Lighting. Lots of lighting. Woodworking would probably be in it's own separate area, ideally...
