kielbasa

Peewee came home today, telling me he had a hankering for kielbasa.

OK.....did you get buns and saurkraut to go with it?

He looks at me like I am nuts. "Whaddya mean, you just slice it up and grill it."

WE have done that, but usually served with grilled cabbage.

Anyone here that can set peewee straight...........kielbasa and saurkraut on a bun, or is it just me?

Nope. Not you! That's how I eat it too.. Bun, kraut and kielbasa.. Or I chop the keilbasa up, warm it with the kraut and either eat it with a bread something or on a bun.. Little hard to bite into stuff with falsies..

Bun with mustard. No kraut. Wife loves me so much she won't even stick up the house with it if I'm within 3 states of the house.

The kraut. When I get a reuben sandwich, I special order it without kraut. Yes she does love me. Hey I love her too, Worked on her Bravada all day. Notice I didn't say I fixed it. :-)

When I saw the thread title. I thought you were putting kielbasa on PeeWee's racing aspirations, not a thread on kielbasa the food.

I have enough German heritage (50%) that I love all things sausage. Keilbasa w/kraut on a bun sounds GREAT to me. Or w/o bun - either way.

I'll tellya what you DON'T do with that sausage. You don't boil it with rice. Even our new 3/4 HP garbage disposal nearly choked on it.

I gotta tell you all, when I went to the kitchen and looked at the pot on the stove, I asked peewee "whatcha got cooking there?"

keilbasa and rice????? I stayed out of the kitchen and away from that!

Weirdest way I have had it is fried in a skillet with tators and green bean put in at the end just to warm them up but not fry them. Not bad though.

P.S only way I touch rice is plain with plenty of butter and sugar.
