  • The other noisy expensive hobby

I finally got a 'real' amp, a Fender Super Sonic 100. I am just crazy about the tone paired with the UK made Marshall 1960b 4x12. It doesn't really need the pedals but they are still fun to get certain classic sounds and to create some the amospheric effects I like in surf music.

I have 1 guitar amp, 1959 Gibson GA-6 all original, plays like a dream...

My main guitar is a 1998 Indonesia Squier Strat with a set of Duncan Classic 50's..

I also have a room full of vintage analog synthesizers..

That is some great stuff! I'll bet that old Gibson is sweet. Do the synths still work?

I do have another old amp, a '65 Super Reverb, not completly orginal with late 60's replcement speakers but it still sounds great. Smells like whisky, beer and cigarettes when it gets hot. Kinda fits right in with the music.

I've got a bunch of old setero stuff too, not so much hobby as failure to clean house.

The amp rules! It belonged to my deceased best friend, & I'll never part with it..
The synths all work, I had to get a few of them restored, they needed power supplies, OP amps, etc..
It's amazing what old analog synths bring today moneywise.

Nice amps! I've got a Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb, and a Marshall JCM 900. They're all very noisy ;)

great.....next time we're chilling in an Arkansas town around midnight we can listen to some tunes to drown out the other noises.

You need a reel to reel to complete the collection.

Yes but it's a SE Custom. Still it's the nicest guitar I've ever owned.
