    63 Pontiac Catalina S/D 421

    This was best of show, and best Pontiac at the Hemmings Muscle Machines show at Lebanon Valley Dragway on Sunday. The car was perfect. The owner said he bought the car in '92 through a Hemmings classified ad and restored it. Supposed to be one of three Catalina post sedan cars built. Got to hear it run and pull a hole shot when he went down the return road to pick up his trophy. (have video, will post later) Very cool car, and a nice guy to talk to. Oh yeah, he said you CAN run aluminum exhaust manifolds for more than a minute.


    Check out the crude casting on the tunnel ram intake.

    Man, that is one clean car. I'd love to take that for a ride.

      Wow!
      1967 Chevelle 300 2 Door Post. No factory options. 250 ci inline six with lump-ported head, big valves, Offy intake and 500cfm Edelbrock carb.

                  wow i like nd it is the right color
                  my uncle has a 64 grand prix 421 s/d 4 speed with 2x4's has the 8 lug wheels and all i like big fast oddba;ll factory peforrmance cars now if i could get him to sell it lol cheap

                        Every time I see one of those cool cars I'm reminded of the 63 2+2 Cat with a tri-power 421 and four speed I passed on. I let my Dad talk me out of it because it needed quarters, floors and fenders and was painted with house paint. Still is painful.
