Thanks for all the nice comments!
I got some bad news from the body shop, the "mint" quarter panels on the parts car aren't that mint once the paint is ground off. :-\

Update! THe restoration of the Hemi Blues stalled for several years. But recently, the original owner, Mel Parker, sent me a bunch of pics from back in the day. Now I am all enthused about it, and have put the wheels in motion to get the body and paint work done. Once that is complete, I'll bring it home and finish the resto. So in a couple years, it will be done!
The plan is to restore the wheelwells, and paint it to the way it was before they radiused them. Then put Crager SS mags, and vintage style racing tires. I thought you would enjoy seeing the pics from 50 years ago:

You looking for an Imperial tow car? That's a GREAT pic! I say the car will look great either way.

The radiused wheel wells have been trashed by time. They were built with electric conduit and thick Bondo. It is all cracked and falling apart. So either way, they need major work. If they were mint I'd maybe keep them. I like the first version of the paint better with the treble clef and PLYMOUTH lettering. So since I have to fix it anyway, that is the way I will go.

Dan, we've never actually met but I feel like you know me. Yes I have been scouring the internet for an imperial!
When we were at speed week in 2017, I saw this 59 Imperial Ghia limousine and the guy was trying to sell it. The first time I saw it I was thinking how am I ever going to get this home. Trying to behave, I didn't take down the guys contact info and then later on I decided I need it and I was looking for it out on the salt and I never saw it again.

Hemi Joel likely knows the 66 and up Imps are sub framed cars.. Got one but it is kinda ruff, roof was bent down. And they are banned in most venues.

Big thumbs up on the fenders. Radiused they make it look like a class car converted to bracket racing. Not ready for nostalgia bracket cars yet, even with hemis.

How come we didn't meet at Bonneville. That Imp looks familiar but I didn't realize it was for sale - seems like I saw it at the car show at the casino. Dang those things were HUGE!

We have to meet up soon. Maybe when I'm running at Arkansas? Of course, we'd love to have you here in Wilmington - it's a beautiful place!
