Looks like I need to go to the track this weekend and break that time......

Can't have the Buick guy with a documented time faster than mine....
Until then it's another "that guy" 10 second camaro.
      Escaped on a technicality.

Realize that was with 3.73 gears and a Predator tuner as the only upgrades, plus I was running street tires and had dismal 2.1 '60 times, since then I have had the trany rebuilt and installed a Yank 3800 stall converter, also installed long tube headers and a SLP ram air kit and a Fast LSX intake, bigger MAF and TB, and an aftermarket air lid.... and on the suspension side I have adjustable shocks and an adjustable torque arm along with all the upgraded tubular suspension pieces.... And I just recently put a set of Nitto NT05's on it.......

So ya in stock form with gears and a Predator programmer it ran 13's at 103mph........ I haven't been back to the track since I did all the upgrades that I listed, so I can't tell you what it runs now other than I can eat up Harley's like their standing still........ I just can't wait to finish up the cam and head swap and get this car tuned, then I'm going to go have some real fun!!! Stay tuned, plan on doing a nice little write up on how to do a LS1 Camaro cam and head swap, along with how to R&R the oil pan gasket with the motor in the car........

DWB, you've got me wanting one of those cars to run on a road course......no. I'm too vested in the Mustang.

But I have to say, many many years ago I was watching ESPN and there was a road race live from Miami. Cordon off the streets and go for it. At 4 in the afternoon. It always rains in Florida at 4 o'clock. They dropped the green flag and 20 seconds later it started pouring down rain.

One of the first Eagle Talons, AWD. That thing lapped the field. Twice. It passed Corvettes that were spinning the tires, I mean it was an embarrassment to everybody out there trying. The Talon lapped the field on that day. It was an awesome display of AWD.

Harleys? Good god, I'd hope so. Doctor Bob and Lawyer Steve are usually afraid of scratching their screaming eagle born to live to ride chrome! You beat up a 14 second bagger? Good for you! Get yourself a cookie. lol. The first thing those guys do is lose 5 -10 hp with loud pipes and no jetting. Talk about killing low end.

DWB is gonna start talking JDM and Spec-V and Type-R is my only concern. Have fun with it!

Not around here, these guys are ready to go at the drop of a dime.... And actually the best Harley to give me a run was a V-Rod, I was just barely a car ahead of him when we let off....... And base model Corvette's, Mustang GT's, new Camaro's, SRT8's, they all get chewed up......

Yeah, 4cyl cars with turbos are stupid. they cant run or beat a american V8...the loser in this video must not have known how to properly drive his car....lmao

It wasn't that long ago that Huber's turbo 4-banger won Hot Rod Drag Week's small block power-adder division.

That HAD to be embarrassing for Corvette Guy. Hopefully his wife wasn't there to see that, after all that money. I mean, really.

Not that embarrassing, that car probably weighs 1000lbs less than the corvette....... Power to weigh ratios can make a big difference and even give an underpowered car an advantage..... I built a VW Rabbit back in the day, swapped in a cam, ported the head and milled it and put a header on it, it ran pretty good, I also played with a '88 Turbo Coupe like the one I own now, that car would eat 5.0 Mustangs all day long..... So don't think I don't know what it's like to embarrass a guy with a 4 banger....... Thing is I just prefer a good old American V8.........

TC, I don't have a single issue in this world with ya, and don't want to cause one, and I hope I don't. But being a spectator and major polluter here for a few years, there seems to be a trend, only from my general observation. I'm only curious really, I'm seriously curious.

Let me set the stage before my question by saying, as I say constantly here all the time- I DON'T KNOW SHIT. I really don't, not proud of it but all of you guys have helped me along trying to know a little bit of something at least.

I know you and DG are going at each other all the time, and have fun with it to the point that by now I don't click on whichever thread that is.

So my question is, what's up with the "knowing" contest? I'm telling everybody that I don't know anything, and I'm honest when I say that.

Why do you have to fight so much over what you know or what you have done? Why is it contested so much, I guess is what I'm really wondering.

I'm really just curious from a spectator's standpoint, that's all.
