the subes, in a way, they make me angry. I'd rather spend my five main bearing money on a crank that can turn more than itself..a diesel v8 perhaps.

guys that overlapped old school with new, they got it going on, always will.

I hope they realize the value of the oldest subes some day... until then, they are all in hell for being false.

So ya in stock form with gears and a Predator programmer it ran 13's at 103mph........ I haven't been back to the track since I did all the upgrades that I listed, so I can't tell you what it runs now other than I can eat up Harley's like their standing still........ I just can't wait to finish up the cam and head swap and get this car tuned, then I'm going to go have some real fun!!! Stay tuned, plan on doing a nice little write up on how to do a LS1 Camaro cam and head swap, along with how to R&R the oil pan gasket with the motor in the car........
If your car was running 2.0+ sixties, then why would you gto waste all that money on stuff that won't make it any faster? You should learn how to drive first, THEN go waste thousands of dollars on crap that makes your car slower instead of faster.

You know, this is what i struggle with myself.
I am a U.S. Army Veteran, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, I am an active member of an Honor Guard and have participated in 89 military funerals (and counting). I consider myself more patriotic than most.

Do you want know what the resale value of my last 4 NEW American cars vs my wife's asian cars has been? I won't even talk about reliability or service problems. If my wife wants to buy an asian car, I will not discourage it. The fact is, they do it better, require less service and resell better based on my personal experience.
My most recent example; My loaded 07 Grand Cherokee I just traded in- it did not even get a phone call in 9 weeks listed at 15K. It cost me 45k 5 years ago. My wife's Civic sold in the first week at my asking price.

My shame for enjoying this car is undeniable, but my shame that U.S. automakers cannot compete is even greater.

              You can't possibly be alone.

Your shame is not out of line. I'm ashamed that you're enjoying a car so much that wasn't made by an American company. I love waving the flag, and sometimes I can't remember why. You bought a better product because it was available on the market.

You've got me wanting one, but nope. But for infinite riches, yes I gotta have one. I think it's great you're having so much fun with that car, as much fun as I'm having with Red. But by all accounts, you'll pass me on the road course. I'll wave you by after Turn 6. That'll be me with my arm out the window, pointing which side I want you to pass on. And we're both having fun at the same time.

HMMMM my last post might have been influenced by the beverages consumed at a Christmas party last night LOL.

PW, Red is awesome......a record setter even!
speaking of waving the flag, a group of us did just that in out Christmas parade last weekend.

I've never owned a Dodge or a Jeep, but now by extension I've had two. A Mercedes and a Fiat... we traditionally don't get the good Focus' here and I can't think of anything else US based that compares.

If we could buy the RS Focus here, I'd already have one in the garage.

My most recent experience with that... My younger sister got her first car, a 2001 Camary for $4000. I bought a '98 Sebring for $800 within a few months of her (either befor or after, don't remember, probably after). She liked my car much better than she liked hers. Interior-wise, mine showed wear, 120K roughly. Most of her interior was fine, but the fake woodgrain held up much better in the Sebring that it did in the Camry. The Camry's "woodgrain" was some yellowed clear plastic that had some traces of "grain" in it. I had 2 years of trouble-free service with my Sebring, where my dad was fixing something on the Camary every other week. Mostly stupid stuf, but it was stuff I didn't have to fix on any of my other vehicles. The low resale of American vehicles works in your favor if you buy used and run it into the ground.

I'm NOT a fan of the winter wheel/tire combo, or the roof rack. The good news is they are both temporary/removable.
What a pain in the a$$ th have to buy a programmer (or go to the dealer) to get rid of the TPMS code.....

Yea Bob, Momma's new WRX commuter car. The roof rack is for attaching our bike racks to. Luckily the rack comes off easily with 4 screws.

I like those wheels. tall sidewall anyway.

I see in vids today, the sideways focus etc..
they runted the sube again no doubt. they do that in spans of years..

given they were banned like a flat six porsche for several..
at least there is a runted sube.

you would not believe what speaks their history backwards. I show my own here at bangshift as well.
