Let Me Introduce Myself, Hey, I'm a Street Racer Turned Activist. I'm a guy from So Cal. I am part of the Brotherhood of Street Racers. We are a group formed by the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) in the late 60's to use street racers to curb street racing- fight fire with fire. It worked. We had a track in Los Angeles Harbor area that was strictly a street racers track. The head of one of our biggest gangs, the "Crips" hung out there with some of the heads of GM. Nowhere else would that occur. (Tookie was executed a few years ago for his crimes.) Big Willie is the head of our organization. The Los Angeles Sheriffs Department is now spearheading the Brotherhood movement to get our track open once again. This is who we are- Here are some videos. The X-mas race is our biggest race on the street, we would love to hold the race back on our track someday soon-
BTW- I'm a bad speller, sometime post long manifestos but I do post stuff that happens to us that can effect others who have no choice but to race on the street, and our decade long struggle to reopen the Brotherhood Raceway on Terminal Island.

Hi Phil.Phil is the guy who goes on DW with no mirrors and hauling ass in the rain towing a trailer.Little does he know the rest of us are going "oh shit" as we watch the trailer swap ends. When we stop for gas and ask Phil how is it going he replies"OK" while the rest of us have a bad case of "Buttpucker"He knew the trailer would follow him! We were not so sure! ;D
Thanks Kieth, I do agree with you, I actually had a longer intro but it got lost in posting it after 30 min of typing. Anyway I'm Vince Rasch, I have a 69 GTO convertable that so far Long Hauled 4 Power Tours and all 3 Drag Weeks. PT is great but DW frick'n kicks ass. I like the beat of this site so good luck to all involved. Had 2 other 69 GTO's both hardtops early on but drag'n and cars had to take back seat to raising my 3 son's on my own for 10 or so yrs. They are grown and gone and this convertable just showed up just like PT and DW. Looking to pull my drive line out and put it in something lighter. Have a 72 Lemans hrdtop in mind. Got a 11.65 with 4400# of car and no juice. Want to see what dropping 1000 or so pounds will do. Became a Grand pa in Feb. and will make my GTO a mistress in Apr. She's the one that came down to Martin last year to see what all the fuss was all about. Dustin we still laugh at what you said at the staging lanes. Also after 20 some years of owning, driving and being a service manager in the trucking industry the last 12 years I've been self employed in a little 1 horse shop fixing mostly farm equipment and semi's and 4 wheelers. See ya on the road!

Hi, nice site Dave. I'm Ken Sieloff and I live in the Detroit suburbs at the north end of Woodward Ave. I work for a Global OEM autoparts manufacturer as a Sales and Engineering manager. I grew up a few miles from Detroit Dragway in the 60s and it had a profound influence on my taste in cars. I'm old school all the way but my job keeps me current with what's going on in the car world.
I do most of my own work and I'm fortunate to have a family that understands and supports the gearhead that I am.
My name is Tim, Live in Charlotte, NC. I currently have a 71 F100 shortbed w/ a mild 351W, edelbrock carb, AOD, 3.70 rear, disc swap. Runs good but still working a few bugs out. Since it wasn't running at the time, I bought a 66 F100 w/ a 352 for cheap last spring. I figure I'll do some body work on it, paint and sell it to get a few extra bucks to finish the 71 the way I want.
I think my next project will be a GM midsize. I'd love to get a 68-72 A-body, but may have to settle for a 78+ Malibu, Monte, or other GM variant of those.

Hi, my name is Bill. I'm from Farmington Hills MI and located about 10 miles from Woodward. Im a senior in high school (cant wait to get out) and im currently in the market for my first muscle car. My parents dont want me to buy a car until i graduate, so im driving a 94 exploder right now. it's killing me not having my own car right now, but i only have to live like this till june. i live on woodward ave. this is where i hang out with my friends and where i got my first careless driving ticket this year, but that's another story.
So im in the market for some V8 junk if anyone has some offers.
