Been a long time BS reader and occasional forum lurker, thought I had an account already but finally signed up today. Big fan of the site guys!
I'm Tom, currently living in Raleigh NC with my wife but originally we're from Taxachusetts. I'm an early 20 something that knows everything but really nothing at all, though I do enjoy learning as much I can and pretending I know a little.
Definitely a car junkie, been into them pretty much my whole life, taught myself how to work on them starting my mid teen years and haven't been able to stop since! I've owned a slew of Chevys and have really loved playing with them. I'm mostly a GM guy but I love reading about all sorts of auto and mechanical awesomeness, hence why I love this site haha. At any rate that's enough rambling for now I think.I have not failed, I have just found 10,000 ways that don't work. - Einstein

Hi People. I live in the Orlando, Florida area where today's temp is in the mid 70's and it's top down weather.
I'm an old guy who went to the dragstrips back in the early 60's and still can't quit. Never had a nicotine craving but can't get rid of the nitro craving I guess. Just a part time, lowly foot brake bracket racer.
Used to be into Mopars but have grown up and gone Ford since the gov't stole the company from the stockholders and it went Fiat. I admire all of the greater creations and distain the lesser. You know, the lesser ones like: Aztek, Prius, Pacer, Vega, Toyota Wonderwagon's, etc.

Hi guys! I'm new here. Look forward to getting to know some of you guys. I'm really wanting to do Drag Week and there seems to be some great info on this site. I currently have a 64 Chevy II that I built 3 years ago. Total street/show car that I take to the track on occasion. Best time so far is 8.68 @ 155. I am currently building a 67 Chevy II wagon which should be pretty insane when finished. Here is a pic of the 64.

Hello everybody,
I am Jammie Keith. Born and raised in Cookeville,TN. Dad was a mechanic who didn't want me in the automotive lifestyle. Well...I fell into it anyways. I like anything with an engine and wheels that goes. Not a brand junkie I can appreciate everything foreign and domestic. Currently my daily driver is a 1990 Chevy S10 Tahoe edition truck. Its just a 4.3 tbi truck I run around in but this summer she is getting an extra two cylinders bolted into her. Project car is my dads old 76 Dodge Aspen R/T it was in rough shape when I brought it home to far to restore to factory specs...so im building it my way going to be a street legal tube chassis machine. Also have a few sport bikes I tinker with and love playing with sport bikes and quads on the side.

Howdy everybody! I'm "Buckshot". Just joined up today. Went to the March Meet yesterday, and had a great time! I used to race there in the late '70s, and I can't believe how much Famoso has changed. Back then, I was racing a '67 Firebird that ran in the low 13s, then built a '70 Cuda called "Runnin' Wild", that ran mid 11s. I build custom Harleys and the occasional hot rod, and write a monthly column for Thunder Press magazine. My latest project is a "gasser" style 1943 Ford military half ton pickup. I put it on a '97 Ranger chassis with a 302 and an AOD trans. Gonna be flat black with candy apple red inside and on exterior trim. Also posting one of my bike builds that was a feature bike in IronWorks magazine.4 Photos

I'm Jenny, I'm new, howdy! I grew up in the San Fernando Valley but moved to Reno when I was 25 for a boy, who became my husband and father of my son. We now live in Columbus, GA due to work bringing us this way. Anyway, I decided when I turned 32 I didn't want to be car-illiterate anymore. I bought a 69 Satellite and decided to learn with that. The best way to learn is to just start doing, right? I've had a 76 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale who was such an awesome car. I've never paid more than $600 for an older car. First car was an 82 Chevy S-10 pick up who I would love to have never gotten rid of. I totally regret that, but whatever. We all have regrets. I figure if I can learn to shoot a gun, drive a stick, and run a marathon, I can learn to work on a car. End of story. I'm a special breed of crazy. I love to take on new adventures with a ask questions later mentality. When not trying to figure out my car stuff, I'm running, doing photography, going to school for an Information Technology degree (I'm an art school drop out - CalArts 2003!), and other random stuff. Hoping to get some good info here.
