I'm just an old fart who likes to go fast and eat sweets. I did some road racing on motorcycles when I was young and fearless, Now I like building Mopar convertibles. I'm on the coast in Santa Cruz, California where the old hippies live. You can call me Dane or Lefty, just don't call me late for dinner. ;D Cheers!

Hi everyone, my name is Dave Vraa from northwestern Minnesota and yes I sound like a character out of the movie Fargo. I've been addicted to Mopars my entire life, there is no cure. My long term ongoing project is my 1960 Dodge D100. I've tryed to keep it looking as stock as possible but finally had to install a rollbar. The engine in the picture now resides under the hood, 528ci Hemi.

Hi...I'm Rob Tompkins...I have been around cars my whole life (I'm 45)...started the addiction with a 1969 Camaro convertible when I was 16...moved into Pontiac GTO's for several years...and then the AMC bug got me because I wanted something really off the chart rare...I have owned 4 Red, White, and Blue Rebel Machines over the years...currently my car is sporting over 500 horses and a 4-speed...9 inch with 4.56 gears...car is mostly unmodified in appearance

My name is Wayne Smith, and I'm a certified gear head. Been a complete motorhead all my life. I have a great wife of 10 years (HS sweethearts) and 4 wild kids (lol). They are 7, 5, and twin 3yr olds. And I'm a stay at home dad, been so since summer of 2000.

I've had my Camaro since early 2000. It was always street/strip, and started out running low 14's, then mid to low 12's, now bottom 11's with a pump gas, AFR headed 406. I love drag racing, but I want to drive the car more on the street (as in turning) and run some road course stuff (I live 3 miles from Summit Point Raceway - www.summitpoint-raceway.com ).

I got my '47 truck earlier this year for $200. I want to fix it up ( just a little) to use as a truck, since I drive a Suburban, and an old school hot rod. And I want to do it for under $2000. I have a great running 250 inline six from a '71 Nova, 4 spd Sag out of a '69 Camaro, 8.5" 10 bolt - 3.42 posi from a '79 Z-28, and misc truck parts - all gotten for free, so after doing what metalwork that needs done, I can give it a quicky paint job, re-wire it, and hopefully drive it while my Camaro is off the road for it's pro-touring transformation.

              Current Camaro Pic

This was the truck when I brought it home...it's in pieces now.

                Hey all
Dan from Gloucester, VA here. Im 33 and a big Mopar fan but I dig all old cars. Back in 1981, my oldest brother got his first car and it was a white '68 Hemi Road Runner that he got for like $1500. His best friend up the road had a root beer brown '69 Charger R/T and I would watch them for hours working and Bs'ing on their cars, running them up and down the road and the rare occasions that Id get a ride was euphoric, and since that was the height of the Dukes of Hazzard era, I was hooked for life.

By the time I turned 16 and got my license in 1990, most of the musclecars were too expensive or rusted out clap traps, and I inherited my other brother's '77 Grand Prix SJ. I hit the salvage yards and found a '73 Pontiac wagon with a 455, bought the cheapest cam I could find for it in the Summit catalog, and the next thing I knew, I was smacking all the 5.0 Mustangs and GNs I could find. My teenage testosterone killed the car when I went into a wet curve too fast and hit a tree. I found a 6 cylinder '80 Firebird to swap the 455/TH400 into but when I blew the transmission in that a few months later, I sold it all and it was time for a Mopar. I found a decent but worn '71 Demon 340 4 speed and that was the first of many Mopars. Today, Im married with a house and 2 kids, so I have to be some kind of grown up, but do I have a dozen Mopars in various states of disrepair.

heres some of what I got:
'68 Coronet R/T 440/4 speed/Dana I bought it from the original owner in Texas in 1998 and has the original drivetrain but that doesnt stop me from putting 5000 miles on it a year and running consistent low 13s at the track

'72 Fury I 440 Virginia State Police car. I was a state trooper in VA and this car came from the station I worked out of. I bought it in 1999 and it was a rat when I found it-I'm just finishing it up now.

'68 Valiant I just finished building a suspension for it with disc brakes and an 8 3/4 from a wrecked 340 Duster and later I will swap a 5.7 Hemi in it

'96 Ram I got it new as a college graduation gift from my folks. I built a 408 Magnum for it a couple of years ago to be a Lightning/Ram SRT killer and it runs high 13s now; it needs a transmission build now and my goal is to get it into the 12s; a 12.999 would be just fine, I just wanna be able to say I have a 12-second pickup truck. AND FLAMES RULE!

I also have these eventual projects out back...

and finally, I just picked this up....

dont laugh. Its a nod to my first car; picture it with red pearl paint with a traditional flame job, 18" Billet Specialties wheels and Im getting started on a mild 468 Poncho engine.

Just livin' the car life. ;D

The GP is nice, as are the others. My first boss(wrenching), had a 77, which we built a 400 for. He had it painted black with gold accents.

                    Hello,
Nice web site. My name is Ken Newman and I'm 52 years old. I've been a car nut since the days when Beeline Dragway was hosting the AHRA Winternationals (must have been the late Sixtys). I'm a Meterman at a local electric utility. I drove Chevys until I got married in 1983 and I inherited her Fairmont. I've driven it ever since. I'm going thru a divorce after 24 years of marriage but the Fairmont is staying. I'm glad to see hot rodding didn't die like I thought it was going to in the early 80's. I really like the NHRA Pro Stock class and follow it pretty close. Ken.

My name is Josh, I currently live in mount clemens, michigan. I'm a millwright/maintaince welder at Chrysler(for now, anyways). I'm a relative late bloomer when it comes to performance cars, but I've made up for lost time the last 3 years or so. I've got a 98 z28 that i've blessed(or cursed) with a 4200 stall, a bunch of bolt ons and a 9" rear. It's real close to breaking the 11s with the stock ls1, but I've got a wheel hop issue thats driving me nuts right now. This spring I think I'm gonna get it right and sell it, I'd like to get a jeep for an eventual ls1/late model hemi swap.

The other car is a 1970 Buick Electra Custum 225 convertible. Less than 50k miles, in fine driving condition, I started taking it apart a couple years ago and its been on stands ever since. I'm an idiot. I've got a 9" for it, and future plans include a front disc brake conversion, rebuilt suspension, some bodywork, and a built 455 that'll scare the unsuspecting.

Anyone in the Metro Deroit area that needs any welding help, let me know and I can pry lend a hand

Location: El Dorado Hills, California(about 20min east of Sacramento)
Story: Been into pretty much anything with wheels and an engine for as long as I can remember. Started when my grandfather taught me how to rebuild a Quadrajet carburetor when I was 5 years old. Been hooked ever since. The latest thing that has been consuming pretty much all of my free time is diesels. My myspace page listed in the link below will show you that.
