    Joe Lopez from Detroit, Michigan

I found out about this site earlier today.

We currently have two projects ongoing -

My fathers original owner (and 4th owner) 1967 Camaro RS/SS L78 coupe

We are also working on our 1967 Chevy C10 Stepside restoration project

I operate a local website for Classic and Muscle car enthusiasts - www.MichiganClassics.com

Some great projects posted here, I've only begun to check this place out 8)

        That is the plan
That is how the car looked when dad raced it locally back in the day.

          28 years old

          West Texas/Southern New Mexico area

Moderator at the almost extinct HR forum

I have more knowledge and experience with Chevy's, but I also like and can find my way around a Ford or a Mopar. If it's an American hot rod, It's good.

Sold my Chevelle project quite a while back. Haven't worked on much lately. Money's too tight.

Have a '74 GMC truck-388 inch SBC, close to 11:1, all kinds of goodies.

Good to see a lot of the guys on here. Haven't seen some of ya'll in quite a while. As always, good to meet new folks as well.

And hello to DF, Chad and everyone. I'm just happy to be here. 8)

You need to put the vinyl top back on it too.

                      Hey everyone,

                      Who am I?

I've been asking my therapist for years.

Been able to do some cool stuff. Highlights include being a semi-regular freelancer in HRM and a couple of other automotive rags, announcing national events for the IHRA, and being the man on the mic at the 2007 PGD. In Memphis I got to hang out with a group of people who could actually drink as much as I can, aside from Turk who had one beer, a Zima, and half a cup of Boone's Farm wine and was discovered singing show tunes with a security guard of questionable sexuality.
That's another story for another day.

I'm a definite schitzo when it comes to cars and trucks. Current project is a bad ass little 1940's era Worthington tractor with a hydraulic plow on the front of it to clear my driveway of the snow that falls daily here in Boston. It's got a flathead, a Ford 4-speed and a full floating banjo style rear end. Oh did I mention the drop front axle. When I get tired of it, the front and rear axles will anchor my Hot Rod. It's a time warp and a bucket load of fun.

I've got a 13 month old son who can say Grumpy Jenkins and Ronnie Sox clear as day....that about sums it up.

I'm known as Dave the Bartender. I live in the Florida Panhandle and drive the pig car. That is the POS wagon from the PT with the flying pig hood ornament.
I slapped the car together just to Long Haul on the tour in 06. Had so much fun I went again in 07 and wrote some short stories about my experiences. If 100 pages is short ! Included is a little Chad Bashing. Sorry Chad but we never did race the wagons in Englishtown. (I guess this year at Great Lakes Drag Raceway you saw you would have kicked my "Tailgate" !) Anyway I am building another car right now for PT 08 (along with a story) and am hoping this web site helps keep me motivated when I finally get out of the garage each nite.

Best of luck to David, Chad, and all others putting the work into this project.

I'm George Wofford, from Bowie, MD. I bought a '78 Z28 back when I was 19, which started me down the path. That was 4 engines and 3 transmissions, and 16 years ago and I still have the thing. I also have a '97 Mustang GT, a '71 El Camino with a 454, and a '91 Vette convertible (at least half of one!). I'm an aerospace engineer, so of course everything is a science project to me! I'm looking forward to asking people for help and advice after I get in to something over my head!
